Award Ceremony, Paris, January 28th 2016
The Aladdin Award was presented on January 28th, 2016, by personalities of public and private institutions as well as donors to the twelve American, Egyptian, French, German, Israeli, Moroccan, Palestinian and Swiss students of the 2014 edition of the Summer University whose research projects were selected by an international jury. Launched in 2013 under the patronage of UNESCO with the support of the European Commission (Erasmus +) and in partnership with twenty-five African, American, European and Middle Eastern universities, this initiative aims at creating a network of future international leaders committed to the values of peace, friendship among peoples and rapprochement between cultures.
These awards were presented in the presence of Ministers and of Mr. Ambassador Philippe Lalliot – representing Mr Laurent Fabius, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs – in homage to Jacques Andreani, Ambassador of France, president of the Aladdin Project’s Conscience Committee, who died in July 2015. Ms. Donatella Andreani, widow of Jacques Andreani was present at the ceremony.
